MASSIVE Welcomes Richard Bays, Legal Nurse

MASSIVE: Medical and Subrogation Specialists, the industry’s most advanced provider of Future Medical Allocation services (including MSAs) and healthcare Lien Resolution, is pleased to announce the addition of Richard Bays as a Legal Nurse Consultant and Future Medical Specialist. In his new role, Richard will lead MASSIVE’s allocation team for Medicare Set-Asides (MSAs) and Medical Cost Projections (MCP) and will assist MASSIVE’s customers obtain the correct future medical allocation for their settlements.

 

Richard brings with him over 25 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and is board certified by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC). He has been a consultant to numerous healthcare facilities seeking State Licensure, Accreditation and Medicare Certification.

 

He serves on the executive board of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP) and has authored core chapters for the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) on Medicare Set Asides (MSA). He is an active member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and a frequent speaker for the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society (TASCS) on regulatory issues. His experience includes panel appointment by the Texas Legislature that oversees Preventable Adverse Events (PAE’s) occurring in all hospitals licensed by the Texas State Department of Health Services and is currently serving on the Texas Nurses Association’s (TNA) Regulatory Advisory Panel and the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) Standards Committee.

 

In addition to his nursing degree, he holds an MBA and law degree as well as numerous certificates from George Washington University School of Nursing and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Richard also serves on the Texas Nurses Association’s (TNA) Audit-Finance Committee and is a Federally Authorized Tax Practitioner.

 

His vast understanding of the medical field, along with his background and certifications in a number of industries make him a valuable addition to the team!
